Rendering: Pigeon (2022)

Synopsis: The pigeon in this story has internalized the ideology of rendering discussed earlier. The pigeon encounters expressions of hatred towards itself everywhere—on the subway, in parks, everywhere. Upon seeing a banner about a cat feeding station right next to a banner expressing hatred towards pigeons, the pigeon decides to become cute. At the <Sleek, Soft, and Cute: Universal Rendering Studio>, the pigeon undergoes an inner beauty treatment that makes its droppings sleek and clean. This visual story is composed of real signs from Gyeongui Line Forest Trail(Seoul), various subway/train stations, and plastic surgery clinic signs in Gangnam, captured and collected using a LiDAR sensor.
